Default question on faction points and what decides "area controlled"?

iwas just wondering how they decide which side in factions gets the province, like in AB i never see a point counter or anything, so i was just wondering what system they used to decide who wins the province.

I beleive it depends on how much faction is earned by players on each side. If more Luxon faction is awarded, then the border moves in their favour etc.

It's just a matter of total wins per every 3 hours. If the luxons have more wins in the 3 hour block than the kurzicks, then it shifts towards kurzick territory, and if the kurzicks have won more then it shifts towards the luxon side. Having a point counter would be detrimental as people might see that the map is about to shift to a map more favorable to their side and just hold off going in.
